Regional Innovation Days are organized by the Region of Western Macedonia and the purpose is to bring together academia and companies located in the region of Western Macedonia in order to promote innovation. University researchers and companies presented their research work in a conference. At the same time an exhibition with various food products that are produced in the region take place. Regional innovation days are organized in all four regional units (Florina,, Grevena, Kastoria and Kozani).
In the Regional Innovation Day in Florina at 5 December 2022, the NEWFEED project was presented in detail as part of the ongoing research work of the laboratory of “Laboratory of Food Quality Control” of the Department of Agriculture of University of Western Macedonia. The presentation was entitled “Innovation as a lever for the development and competitiveness of the food industry – The contribution of the university”.
